How to Play
Build the ultimate NBA all-time starting five and chase the perfect 82-0 season. Welcome to the 82-0 website — the NBA draft simulator where legends from every decade compete for a spot on your roster.
The Draft
You get 5 rounds. Each round, a slot machine randomly selects a decade (1960s through 2020s). You then pick one player from that era to add to your roster. Each decade can only appear once — so you'll build a team spanning 5 different eras of NBA history.
Court Positions
After selecting a player, place them on the basketball court at one of five positions: PG, SG, SF, PF, or C. Many players can play multiple positions — a player listed as "SF/PF" can go at either slot. Compatible positions light up when you select a player. Choose wisely — position assignments affect your team's balance.
Skips
Don't like the decade you rolled? You get 2 Era Skips per game. Use them to re-roll for a different decade. Use them strategically — once they're gone, they're gone.
The Simulation
Once your 5-man lineup is set, the engine simulates a full 82-game NBA season. Your team is evaluated across five categories: Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, and Blocks. Stats are era-adjusted — 30 PPG in the 1960s isn't the same as 30 PPG in the 2020s.
Going 82-0
A perfect season is extremely rare. To go 82-0, your team must exceed thresholds in ALL five stat categories simultaneously. Loading up on scorers won't cut it — you need rebounders, playmakers, and defenders too. The key is building a balanced roster, not just picking the highest-rated superstars.
Game Modes
🎲 Random Draft — Fresh random decades every time. Play as many rounds as you want.
📅 Daily Challenge — Everyone gets the same 5 decades for the day. Compare your results on the leaderboard. Resets at midnight UTC.
Tips
• Oscar Robertson (1960s) and Nikola Jokic (2020s) are elite playmakers who boost assists significantly.
• Don't ignore defense — steals and blocks thresholds have ended many would-be perfect seasons.
• Use the position filters and sort options to find the right player for each roster need.
• Save your Era Skips for later rounds when you know exactly what your team is missing.
